The primary purpose of the USSS is to provide funds for the development, testing, publication and distribution of religious education materials that can be used by churches, fellowships and individuals throughout the UUA. The USSS does not generally fund: · Equipment · Scholarships for individuals · Site-specific programs · Costs associated with attending conferences or travel The USSS funding capacity for individual grants generally will not exceed $3,000 per year. Applicants must demonstrate effort in seeking additional funding sources. Completed applications are reviewed three (3) times during the year and must be received by one of the following dates to be reviewed at the board's next meeting: · November 1 · February 1 · May 1 Incomplete grant applications will be returned. Please proceed to Grant Application Page. Note that Final Funded Projects must note funding support from USSS in the final project. Also, please be sure to send us a copy of the final project once it has been published so that we can appreciate your work and maintain it as a resource in the Lifespan Faith Development library.
