Through a network of local youth groups, district youth conferences, and continental events, we develop a loving community of youth through Youth Empowerment, Religious and Social Questioning, Youth and Adult Cooperation, Worship, Learning, Fellowship, and Social Action.

Age Range

Continental YRUU serves youth ages 14-20, which is the age range for all continental YRUU events. However, districts and local youth groups are free to set their own age ranges. To find out more about YRUU in your area, check with your district YRUU representatives.

Youth Caucus at General Assembly
General Assembly 2008 will be June 25-29 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. More information about registration, housing, programming, and scholarships will be available later in the winter. GA Youth Caucus is not a YRUU-sponsored event, but GA is where much of the YRUU Social Justice Structure, including the selection of the Working Action Manager (WAM), happens.

Youth Council 2008
Youth Council is the main governing structure of YRUU. This year, Youth Council will be held in July, just outside of Boston (Youth Council is open only to Youth Council Representatives selected by their districts and At-Large Representatives selected by the YRUU Steering Committee and Board of Trustees). Past Events

The YRUU Continental Conference (Con Con)
(December, 2004) After a long process and careful consideration, the Youth Office has made the difficult decision to stop providing staff support for Con Con, effectively discontinuing the conference as it has been known. Read more about this decision here.

(July, 2005) After receiving many comments and responses to the Youth Office's decision in December to withdraw support for Con Con, the Youth Office has posted a response to the concerns raised. We hope this will bring some closure on this issue to those who need it.
