The Commission is charged to "review any function or activity of the Association which in its judgment will benefit from an independent review and report its conclusions to a regular General Assembly." We invite any UU to suggest a topic or question concerning the operations or functioning of the UUA or its member congregations. The information from any submitted forms will be incorporated into the Commission’s ongoing examination of the UUA. The final decision concerning its next project will be made by the Commission members, based on many sources of information available to it.

• Passion and Energy (The topic reflects a passion for this faith, energizes people, stimulating, provoking and transforming our understandings)
• Community (The topic promotes a sense of community where barriers fall aside, participants feel valued, respected and the work helps us to live out our values/principles in the world)
• Breadth (The topic is of general relevance to the movement, and is not limited to a small constituency.)
• Depth (The topic deepens our understanding, encourages service to the vision of what we can be. We are called to focus on depth and breadth, serving as a catalyst for thoughtful reflection)
• Usefulness (The topic brings forth neutral observation, educating and clarifying our movement; and is clearly of use to the movement)
• Closure (The topic is one that can be brought to closure within the time and resources available for the project)
