Inspired by the richness and diversity of the liberal religious tradition which guides us, the mission of the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program is to promote the influence of Unitarian Universalist principles through grantmaking.
Grants are made that:
• Support the work of social justice
• Strengthen Unitarian Universalist institutions
• Transform gratitude for being into generosity of living
• Make Unitarian Universalism more visible in the world
With funds generously provided by the Unitarian Universalist Veatch Program at Shelter Rock, the UU Funding Program awards grants to both UU and non-UU projects and organizations.
Grants
Grants are awarded through four Funds with distinct priorities and guidelines:
Fund For Unitarian Universalism
Makes grants to strengthen UU institutions and community life.
Fund For Unitarian Universalist Social Responsibility
Makes grants to projects that increase UU involvement in social responsibility.
Fund For International Unitarian Universalism
Makes grants to strengthen Unitarian / Universalist organizations or projects working internationally. This Fund accepts applications once a year postmarked by March 15. If the 15th falls on a weekend, the deadline is the following Monday.
Fund For A Just Society
Makes grants to nonprofit organizations addressing issues of social and economic justice. Grants are given to projects that use community organizing to bring about systemic change.
