Alan Ruston has been editor of the Transactions of the Unitarian Historical Society since 1988, and is a former president of the Society. He has had published numerous books and articles on British Unitarian history over the last thirty five years. Alan has written specifically on the subject for family historiansMy Ancestor was an English Presbyterian/ Unitarian, published by the Society of Genealogists in London.
An active Unitarian, Alan has held many posts within the movement. He is currently Chairman of the British and Foreign Unitarian Association and has been selected Vice President of the 2002 General Assembly. He is a well known writer and speaker within British Unitarianism. He is a retired civil servant and lives near Watford in Hertfordshire.
