Start Date: We are looking for the Music Director to start as soon as possible after August 1, 2009.

Position: Part-time Music Director – approximately 12 hours per week during Church year (Aug. through May.)
Qualifications: experienced music director; relevant musical education preferred.
Salary Range: $9500 - $12,600 based on education and experience.
Position Description:
UUC has an excellent worship program and we are seeking a Music Director with the skills to lead our chorale, work with our professional pianist, and build upon our established music program in collaboration with our Senior Minister and Music Committee so that it is an integral part and enhancive of our worship program. Our congregation expects music from a range of cultures and of diverse musical styles. The Music Director will be expected to have good people skills, be positive and encourage participation in the music program, and work well within a collaborative environment.
It will be the Music Director’s responsibility to: arrange for music for all Sunday services throughout the church year; lead the chorale 3 Sundays per month, with appropriate rehearsals; work with the Senior Minister, pulpit guest, and any guest performers to provide music appropriate to the service; manage the music budget; integrate children into the music program; attend staff meetings.
