First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk, Maine with a 70% time minister, 130 members and an adult choir of about 25 wonderful voices, is searching for a ?quarter time? (avg. 10 hrs. per week) Music Director to begin September, 2009. We seek an experienced choral director with strong piano accompaniment background. The person we select will possess good people skills, be creative, passionate and enthusiastic. Organ experience will be a plus. Periodic infusions of our youth choir and spirit band will be as cooperatively planned with the Minister and RE Director.
Work year will be September through mid-June plus Xmas Eve, 3-4 Thursday evenings per month for choir practice and 3-4 Sunday morning services per month (negotiable). Pay will be $6,000 - $7,000 depending on experience.
