TENOR SECTION LEADER NEEDED

The First Religious Society is accepting applications for tenor section leader and soloist. The new section leader will be a trained vocalist with excellent reading skills, able to support the choir in singing anthems, and able to sing solos such as those from the standard oratorio repertoire.  From early September through mid-June, the section leader will attend weekly Thursday night choir rehearsals and Sunday morning rehearsals and services. 

The FRS choir is a mixed volunteer choir with approximately 30 singers.  At least once a year, the choir expands to present larger programs; works performed in the last 10 years include Haydn’s Creation, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solonnelle.

Compensation is $400 per month, for nine and a half months. Exact hours may be subject to change.
